Bra For Wedding

Choosing the right bridal bra can helps you to look your best in your wedding dress and even dinner gowns for pre-wedding photo shooting as well as wedding actual day. Unlike our normal wears, normal bras are usually not suitable for wedding gowns mainly due to the straps. So which bridal bras are suitable for wedding gown?

I believe that here are some of the questions that most new brides have regarding the suitable bra for their wedding. Here are my answers based on my experience and I hope this will helps new brides to get their preferred bra.

Question 1: Is it necessary to wear bra in wedding gown?

You may wear a bridal bra in wedding gown or just go without a bra as long as you are comfortable with it. The decision is also very much depends on the wedding gown you have chosen. Some wedding gowns come with corset top, so you may not need to wear a bra with this type of wedding gown.
However, some people may feel insecure without a bra. In this case, you may get some sticky cups, or also popularly known as Nu Bra.

Question 2: What are the bridal bra available in the market?

There are a few different types of bra that you can wear with your wedding gowns:

1. Nu Bra – This is the most popular bra for Malaysian brides. It is strapless, backless, adhesive stick on bra. It is commonly use because of its suitability in almost all types of wedding gowns as well as dinner gowns.
2. Strapless bra – Strapless bra may allows you to feel more secure and comfortable because it is almost similar to the normal bra we are wearing every day. The down side is it is not suitable for backless wedding gowns or dinner gowns.
3. Corset – This is usually chosen only if you have a really big tummy. Corset will helps to cover your tummy as well as push up effect.

Question 3: What color of bra would be best to wear under a wedding dress?

It is always recommended to wear nude or skin-tone bras under a white wedding gown. Nude or skin color bra looks natural and the bra leaves no trace, it seems to disappear under your skin. They are also suitable for night gowns of any color. White color bras are also acceptable for a white wedding dress. However, avoid bridal bras of other colors such as black.
